For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, ‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘our’ refers to Unit, ‘Service’ refers to the website and mobile applications operated by Unit and ‘you’ and ‘user’ refers to you, the user of the Services.

We will not use or share your data with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

Data Collection and Use

Basic Account Data

To open your account we collect your email and name.

Your Content

We store and use user’s Content to enable Unit to operate our Service.

Usage Data

We collect and log data on how you and others access and use Unit, for example, the act of creating a note or editing your content. Usage data may be collected through internal logging tools, third-party analytics tools and similar technologies.

Payment Data

For paid service users we collect billing address and other payment information.

Computer and Browser Data

We collect information about the number and type of computers (PC, mobile devices etc.) and browsers you use to connect to the Service, as well as information about the operating systems on those computers. It may include Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, device unique ID, operating system, browser type, browser version.

Cookies

The only cookies we use are those to operate and provide our Services on the web. We do not use cookies for profiling or advertising. The cookies we use are small text files that allow us to provide and customize our Services, and in doing so provide you with an enhanced user experience. Your browser should allow you to control these cookies, including whether or not to accept them and how to remove them. You may choose to block cookies with your web browser, however, if you do disable these cookies you will not be able to log in to Unit Web App.

Third-Party Service Providers

We may use third party services including Google Firebase, Amplitude and Intercom that collect, monitor and analyze information in order to increase our Service’s functionality. These third party service providers have their own privacy policies addressing how they use such information.

Data Security

The security of your Personal Information is important to us, and we strive to implement and maintain reasonable, commercially acceptable security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the information we store, in order to protect it from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure.

However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and we are unable to guarantee the absolute security of the Personal Information we have collected from you.

Data Deletion and Account Termination

You can remove the content that you posted by deleting it. Once you delete your content, it will not appear on the Service, but copies of your deleted content may remain in our system or backups for some period of time. After 30 days, сontent will be deleted from our servers and can no longer be recovered.

Communications

We may use your Personal Information to contact you with newsletters or marketing materials and other information that may be of interest to you. You may opt out of receiving any, or all, of these communications from us by following the unsubscribe link or instructions provided in any email we send or by contacting us.

You acknowledge and agree that Unit shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such third party web sites or services.

Children’s Privacy

Unit is not directed to children. We will not knowingly collect personal information relating to children under 13 years of age, and if we learn that we have inadvertently done so, we will promptly delete it.

Compliance with Laws

We will disclose your Personal Information where required to do so by law or subpoena or if we believe that such action is necessary to comply with the law and the reasonable requests of law enforcement or to protect the security or integrity of our Service.

International Data Transfer

Personal information collected on the Service may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country in which Unit maintains facilities, and by using the Service, you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your country.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

Unit reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify or replace the Privacy Policy at any time. If the alterations constitute a material change, Unit will notify you by posting an announcement on the Unit website. What constitutes a material change will be determined at Unit’s sole discretion. You shall be responsible for reviewing and becoming familiar with any such modifications. Using our Services following notification of a material change to this Privacy Policy shall constitute your acceptance of the Policy as modified.
